Update with Michelle Boulos by Anna
Exclusive to Unseen Skaters. June 8, 2003

Michelle Boulos, 14, placed 5th last August in the Novice Ladies event at the 2003 North American Challenge Skate in Huntsville, Alabama, won the Novice ladies' bronze medal at 2003 New England Regionals, and finished 10th at 2003 Eastern Sectionals.

Will you be moving up to the Junior level?
Yes.

What are your goals for the upcoming season (2003-04)?
My goals for this season are to be as consistent as possible and to go to Nationals.

Will you be competing this summer?
Yes, I'm going to the Summer Challenge [June 27-29 in Marlboro, MA] and the Cranberry Open [August 19-24 in South Dennis, MA].

What music are you planning to use? What elements do you have planned?
I have the "Hunchback of Notre Dame" as my music for my long and "West Side Story" as my music for my short. In my short I'm planning on a double axel, a triple jump and a double flip. In my long I'm planning on a double axel and triples. I'm not exactly sure which triples they will be yet.

Who has had the greatest impact on your skating?
I look up to and admire other people, but I've had the biggest impact on my skating. Where I stand now and where I will go in the future is determined by what I do.

What was competing at a North American Challenge Skate like last summer?
Competing at a NAC was like competing at Regionals or Sectionals, but you represented the USA instead of your home club. It was different because there was open scoring. There was also the Canadian team along with the US team.
