Shaun Rogers > Senior Men
2002 US National Junior Mens' Silver Medalist
Shaun Rogers was born on July 22, 1985, in Baltimore, MD. He began group skating lessons at the age of eight in his hometown of Millersville, MD, after participating in a school skating party. Rogers won the 2000 U.S. National Novice men's title and the Junior men's silver medal at 2002 Nationals. Rogers trains in Newark, Delaware, and represents the University of Delaware Figure Skating Club. He is coached by Pamela Duane Gregory and his choreographer is Nathan Birch. As a senior in 2002-2003, Rogers hopes to include triple axel-triple toe and up to two quad jumps (toe and salchow) in his programs, "along with better presentation than I've had in the past." When asked by Unseen Skaters to summarize what he likes about skating, Rogers replied: "I love jumping, and performing is very self-satisfying. I've also made many friends, some of whom are very important to me." Off the ice, he would like to get a Computer Science degree in college and become a good guitarist.
