Hi all!

After numerous delays related to moving, I'm finally getting to edit and post my photos from St. Paul! Here's the first round:

The Novices and Juniors are my favorite groups, and it was so exciting to see some of these skaters for the first time (hopefully not the last)!

More to come as quick as I can get them done. All my standard disclaimers apply: This is a hobby, not a profession, so please forgive poor composition, glare, etc. I try to take multiple pictures of every skater or team, but sometimes stuff just happens. I take all spellings from what's listed in the program, but I'm prone to typos and cut&paste errors; so if you spot an error, PLEASE let me know so I can correct it!

Your pictures are lovely! I'm also a novice/junior fan and am looking forward to the rest of your pics. BTW I think in novice ladies it's "Christina" Gao, rather than "Christine", but I could be wrong.

Please bear in mind that I try to get good shots of every skater or team, but naturally, I have more photos of the skaters who spent a lot of time at my end of the rink than I do of the ones who were at the opposite corner.

I can't find my notes on the Sr pairs practice, so please let me know of any corrections I need to make!

Also, would a few of you help with feedback on color? I've been editing on my laptop; but this week my PC is finally back online, and when I pull up the photos, they look AWFULLY dark on my "big" monitor. Any comments , complaints, or reassurance would be very much appreciated!

Incidentally, someone asked me: If I had to choose one single favourite memory from this year's Nationals, what would it be? I didn't have to think very long; it was Brandon Mroz's FS. He has such wonderful line and artistry, and this year he showed a dramatic and intense presence on the ice that really took my breath away.

The SR pairs just FLEW across the ice this year! Sometimes the best I could do was hold the shutter button down and hope for the best!

Hi all,

I do have a few more shots I nearly forgot about from around the
arena, including Dick B and Scott H doing The Wave during, I believe,
the Sr Ladies FS (guess who was more enthusiastic?). My seatmate and I are pretty certain that, as last year, it was Angela Maxwell and Armin M. who were the primary forces in getting The Wave started and keeping it going.

I also have a few shots of the Hall of Fame inductees. Unfortunately I wasn't in a position to get all four of the honorees in one shot.
